If a patient has decided on traditional veneers, preparation can begin. This involves reshaping the surface of the tooth. Impressions of the teeth will be taken, and the model will be sent to the dental laboratory for processing. Processing usually takes 2-4 weeks. When the veneers arrive, Dr. Scaff will prepare the tooth and trim the veneer to fit before bonding.

Veneers are very durable, lasting up to 15 years. They don’t require any special care; follow good oral hygiene practices, brushing, flossing, and using an antiseptic mouthwash, as normal. A beautiful new smile can last for many years!
